Natural Walks and Hikes:
A metre 14 km from down town Kathmandu. Godavari
offers a wide range of possibilities for nature walks and hikes.
Santi Ban: 3 km from the hotel, this area offers excellent
opportunities for easy walking. On a clear day clients can enjoy a
panoramic view of the Himalayas and the Kathmandu Valley to the north.
The trail follows a lush green forest offering views of the terraced
fields and life style of rural Nepal. A 25ft high Buddha Statue overlooks
the area and the area also drives it's name from the symbol of peace -
Lord Buddha.
Royal Botanical Gardens: 2.5 km from the hotel and a popular
picnic sport, the Royal Botanical Garden is also very popular for bird
watching and herbs collection. It makes an ideal walking tour and picnic
launch destination.
Phulchowki: The highest point of the Kathmandu Valley at an
elevation of 2762 m, this area is ideal for bird watching, animals,
insects and various medicinal herbs. An ideal destination for hiking and
mountain biking enthusiasts, a full day program is recommended for the
hike to Phulchowki. There are few excellent spots along the way to view
the Ganesh and Langtang Himalayas.

The Godavari Temple: As this place is not only popular for its
natural beauty it also holds some holy places like Godavari temple. This
is a Lord Shiva's temple and also known as "Paanch Dhara" because there
are five water spouts generated from the holy pond inside the temple.
Actually this temple is popular because in every twelve years occurs a
fair and it runs for a months and millions of devotees come to take part
in this fair from the different part of the country and from outside the
country also.
The Bishankhu Narayan Temple and Its surroundings: The Bishankhu
Narayan temple is situated at the north west of the Hotel View Bhrikuti.
This is a temple of Lord Vishnu. It is also a very actual place for
countryside walking. It is a perfect opportunity for nature lovers and
for guests who are looking at experiencing rural Nepal. It takes 2 hrs.
walk from the hotel through the fields and through the quaint villages.
This temple is situated at the top of the hill and the views of Kathmandu
Valley and the panorama of the Langtang Range and Ganesh Himal is mind
blowing. The ethnic composition of this place is very rich because this
is the habitation of the people of different tribes and races like the
Chhetries, the Brahmans, the Mongolians ethnic. So, this place is very
rich in cultural, natural and holly aspects.
